Eye Liner After Care

Eyes may he swollen and tender for a few days. This is normal and will dissipate quickly. Itching is also common. An ice pack protected with a wet barrier film of a paper towel can be very nice. Please do not ice for more than 10 minutes at a sitting. Icing is most effective, the first 24 hours. Sleeping slightly elevated can also reduce any residual swelling of eyes. The most swelling is usually an issue the following morning after your procedure. You may soil your pillowcase with some residual pigment on your eyes. Do not rub, peel, or pick. Keep the area clean and only use the aftercare as instructed for 5 days. Use a fresh Q-tip for every application.. Avoid sun, pools, hot tubs, and all creams around the eye area. Eyes heal very well. However, they are exposed to the possibility of a secondary infection like conjunctivitis or if ointment is a problem, please do not use it, and rinse with buffered eyewash and seek medical attention for an antibiotic steroid eye drop. Eyes are sensitive to pet dander, gardening, dust & dirty hands. Sunglasses add wonderful protection to the sun. Please use a new tube of mascara after each procedure. Do not wear makeup for 5 days.

Eyebrow After Care

Please wash and apply a rice-size kernel of aftercare ointment twice a day on both brows for 5 days. Only a small amount is needed to occlude the eyebrow area. Roll it on & Roll it off. Your permanent cosmetics should never be shiny. You may see some flaking, this is normal. Do not pick at or attempt to peel away: color will not hold if you do so. Some swelling, redness or itching is normal and to be expected. Keep clean and avoid sun, pools, heavy exercise, direct water pressure. Do not pick or rub the area. Brows will oxidize and get darker, and change color before they soften in healing: this is normal! Do not wear any makeup for 5 days on the treatment area. After healing, always use a zinc sunscreen of 20 SPF or higher (50+ spf is recommended). anything that changes your skin pigmentation will also change your micropigmentation. So, Anti-aging & Acne medication less than one inch above your brows will cause premature fading or cause your brows to fade to strange colors. Do not water log your brows, take long showers, scrub, or soak for 2 weeks after the procedure. Brows will need a small amount maintenance every 1-3 years to keep the color fresh.

Lip Liner & Full Lip After Care

Always wash with/ soap & water or spray Bactine on the area before applying Aquaphore.Lips will feel swollen and very dry after your treatment. With this procedure, you may apply as much ointment on clean lips several times a day if you like. This should be done for at least 14 days post-treatment. Just tap on skin and do not rub in no friction to the lip area. There will be residual pigment coming off the lips for several days that can stain linens. After lips are no longer tender to the touch, they may become flaky. Please do not pick or scratch at them. This may significantly reduce the amount pigment uptake. Avoid the sun and tanning beds pre & post-procedure. Be sure to use a zinc sun block once lips are healed. Please be advised it is a good idea to brush your teeth with just water for 72 hours, post-treatment. Redness, swelling, tenderness, dryness, the appearance of uneven color and lines are all common post-treatment side effects and will dissipate in a short period of time after swelling and flaking. They will be very dark & unevenly swollen for the first 48-72 hours. Don’t worry the pigment is on the lip line and it will fade considerably. Avoid oily, salty, acidic foods while healing. Lips are a muscle and will need 1 to 3 sessions to complete the process of this procedure. Lips can be very unpredictable. Some clients will yield very strong healed lip color. Others will only heal with slight color uptake. This will vary on an individual basis. Clients with sun damage, scar tissue (from injury or fever blisters) and clients with implants may not have strong results. Hyperpigmentation can happen on any lip client without warning. Fever Blisters are a known side effect of all lip procedures. Clients are asked to go to their doctor or dentist for an anti-viral medication prior to any lip procedure, to help avoid an outbreak prior if there is any history. Lips heal in 3 stages: wayyyy too dark, too light, just right.
